Before she became a judge, Wozniak had about 14 years of experience as an attorney. In that time, she argued 2 jury trials, 2 non-jury trials, and 68 appellate cases to completion. For the first 6 years, she specialized in commercial litigation, including contracts, class actions, business torts, and commercial landlord/tenant law. She then shifted her focus to appellate practice, mainly complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. She also handled appeals for family law, probate, and personal injury cases.

Before that, she clerked for 2 years at the Florida Supreme Court. She also interned with the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
